Blush Placement for a Lifted Look
Blush is a great way to add color and dimension to your face. But if you’re not careful, it can also make you look older or tired. The key to applying blush for a lifted look is to place it in the right spot.
Here are a few tips for applying blush for a lifted look:
- Start with a light hand. You can always add more blush, but it’s hard to take it away. So start with a light application and build up as needed.
- Use a cream or liquid blush. Powder blushes can settle into fine lines and wrinkles, making you look older. Cream or liquid blushes are more forgiving and will give you a more natural-looking finish.
- Place the blush on the apples of your cheeks. This is the traditional spot for blush application. But if you want to create a lifted look, place the blush slightly higher, on the cheekbones.
- Blend the blush upwards and outwards. Don’t blend the blush in a circular motion. Instead, blend it upwards and outwards towards your temples. This will help to create the illusion of higher cheekbones and a more defined jawline.
- Use a highlighter to accentuate the cheekbones. A highlighter can help to further define the cheekbones and create a more lifted look. Apply the highlighter to the highest point of your cheekbones and blend upwards and outwards.
